Mission Statement

Our mission is to serve patients through our clinical endeavors while training the most excellent Allergists and Immunologists who will practice our specialty, conduct research, and themselves go on to teach subsequent generations of outstanding physicians in the field. We strive to:

  • Provide excellent care for patients in our Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology clinics.
  • Educate and train outstanding physicians in Allergy/Immunology to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with the highest degree of scientific and clinical excellence.
  • Provide histocompatibility testing support for the Tulane Multi-Organ Transplant Programs, including kidney, liver, heart, and pancreas, as well as allogeneic and autologous bone marrow transplantation, through our Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory. Read More

Our fellows will benefit from learning about the many facets of the practice of medicine, including sensitivity and compassion for the human beings they see in their practice, awareness of cultural differences, and the ethical practice of medicine. They will be exposed to many related topics, basic science and clinical, through our various seminars and conferences. Our fellows participate in ongoing research and must choose a research project to complete and present for completion of their training. Our fellows, through their training, develop a lifelong interest and desire to continue learning and to share their knowledge.
