Originally from Mississippi, Revonda completed her B.A. in Sociology/Social Work from Alcorn State University. After completing her undergraduate degree, she moved to New Orleans where she obtained her M.S.W from Tulane University School of Social Work and M.P.H from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Revonda has worked in the social sciences and community health arena for the past decade and deeply understands the importance of community engagement work. Her interests include the development of community-academic partnerships, the power of communities and culture, and the connection of arts and health. She enjoys gardening with her children, trekking as a member of GirlTrek, and mentoring students.
