1. Optometrist Charged with Manslaughter over death of boy, 8 more

 

An optometrist in London missed an obvious case of papilledema (swelling of the optic nerve, usually indicative of a brain tumor). The patient, an 8 year old boy, subsequently died. The optometrist was convicted of manslaughter.
