Prospective Students

First of all, let us say thank you for your interest! We are very proud of our orthopaedics program here at Tulane, which is continuing to improve every year. We strive to give our rotating students, both home and away, the best experience possible during your rotation. It is our hope that you come away from your time with us with a better understanding of orthopaedics as well as an enjoyable experience. Orthopaedics can be stressful at times with many challenges, but is also one of the most rewarding fields in medicine. It is our hope that after your rotation you are better prepared to move on to residency and become a capable physician. We love having students join us in general, but especially love hosting visiting students and showing them what orthopedic life in the “Big Easy” is like. We entertain students from all over the country and have a diverse group of faculty and residents.Read More

Any interested students/applicants should apply through the proper channels. Home (Tulane) students may apply through the office of the registrar. Students who wish to do an away rotation should apply through the Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS). We are flexible with rotation dates and duration. Feel free to contact us even prior to your VSAS application. If you have any problems please email the resident student coordinator or the program coordinator and we will work with you and your schedule as best we can within our abilities. Month long and two week rotations are available as well. If you have any further questions, not only about our program, but about the city or resident life, please contact our Resident Student Coordinator via email (see below). You may also contact our Program Director (Dr. Paul Gladden) should you need them.

We look forward to hearing from you, and hope you will come see firsthand everything that this great city and our program have to offer. Below you will also find a link to our Grand Rounds/Didactics Schedule for the year.
