  • Completed research with Professors from Bologna University identifying radiation exposure during CO2 angiography
  • Investigating an affiliation with Bologna University.
  • Developing protocols for GI bleed, PERT and DVT

Other Academic Activities:

  • We have a large presence at the Southern Medical Student Symposium in August.
  • The NCVH cardiology meeting is one of the biggest cardiology meetings in the country and we and Tulane cardiology are presenting 7 lectures.
  • Currently contributing  at least 2  articles in Journal of the Louisiana State Medical Society, Authored by our residents Jen and Adam.
  • Recent case review  accepted regarding using lipiodol for treating chylous ascites.
  • We are also investigating lipiodol as a fiducial in patients with HCC requiring SBRT.
  • Along with hepatology: A Phase 3 Randomized, Open-Label Study Comparing Pexa-Vec (Vaccinia GM CSF / Thymidine Kinase-Deactivated Virus) Followed by Sorafenib Versus Sorafenib in Patients with Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) Without Prior Systemic Therapy (hepatology)
  • We are being evaluated  to be the PI for a study using Oncozene drug eluting microspheres for HCC.
  • Case report regarding Lung nodule localization.
