The Training Program is available to qualified applicants who wish to pursue an academic, public health-oriented or clinical career in Infectious Diseases. Applicants must be ABIM board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.

The Tulane Adult Infectious Disease Fellowship Program is “ALL IN” the NRMP match. All positions available for training are available only through the match.

Note that we increased the size of the incoming class of fellows who started in July 2019 from two to three. We will again be recruiting three new fellows to start in July 2020 with a goal to sustain the program at three first-year and three second-year fellows.


Applicants must be ABIM board-eligible in Internal Medicine Tulane University does not accept H-1B visa holders. Application is made via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), and we participate in the Medical Specialties Matching Program (MSMP) of the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).


ERAS opens for registration:  June 2019
Fellowship applicants may apply to July application cycle programs only: July 2020
