Dr. Francisco Socola recently joined the Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology and his areas of expertise are AML, MDS and Allogenic Stem Cell Transplant.
Dr. Socola graduated from Cayetano Heredia University where he received his Medical Degree. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami followed by a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After completing fellowship, he subspecialized in Bone Marrow Transplant and CAR T-cell Therapy at Stanford University. His research interest is finding new ways to reduce AML relapse rate after Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant and the role Natural Killer Activating KIR grafts after Stem Cell transplant for AML and MDS.
