For 2020 Residency Interview Process:

We understand the concerns and challenges that residency applicants face during COVID-19 pandemic. We recognize that the changes in the interview process due to the pandemic will have unintended consequences that will disproportionately impact certain applicants. Therefore, the Tulane Obstetrics and Gynecology Program is committed to provide the best opportunity for the residency applicants to have a fair and equitable recruitment and selection process through the difficulties imposed by the pandemic. Hence, we commit to follow APGO/CREOG guidelines regarding the 2020 Residency interview process:

  • Interviews to begin November 17th, 2020
  • Final applicant status notification (Interview, Wait-list, Rejection) will be sent out on December 23rd, 2020
  • We do not offer more interviews than the available number of interview spots
  • We allow applicants 48 hours to respond to an interview offer
  • We will be flexible regarding the number and specialty-specific letter of recommendations and applicants' sub-internship experiences
  • We ask that applicants cancel interviews they do not plan to pursue as soon as possible, but no less than 2 weeks prior to the interview date
  • We will not host in-person follow-up visits ("second looks") after the interview
