Dr. Hubbell grew up around Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas and went to Angelo State University for her undergraduate education. She completed a BS with double majors in Chemistry and Mathematics with Honors and a minor in Physics. She then completed her combined MD/PhD at Loma Linda University in Southern California with focus on the role of VEGF and other growth factors in cerebrovascular development. Prior to joining residency at Tulane, she completed a transitional year at John Peter Smith Hospital. Her research interests include cell-molecular signaling, novel drug-delivery methods and bio-mechanical devices.
