Dr. Mary Mulcahey is a New Hampshire native, who received her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Dartmouth College, and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital. She then completed a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the same institution followed by a sports medicine fellowship at San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine. Dr. Mulcahey was one of only four orthopaedic surgeons to be selected for the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) Advanced Arthroscopy Traveling Fellowship. In February 2022, Dr. Mulcahey was appointed as an Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs for Tulane University School of Medicine. In this role, Dr. Mulcahey serves an important role in the Dean’s Office working with the Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs in providing insight and support of activities including, but not limited to, personnel and honors review processes, recruitment, retention, growth, and development of high quality and diverse faculty, interactions with the General Medical Faculty and the Office of Multi-Cultural Affairs.
Dr. Mulcahey sees patients at Tulane Medical Center, Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine Plus and Tulane-Lakeside Hospital.
