Tulane Gastroenterology is staffed with expert gastroenterologists who care for all forms of gastrointestinal disease including: cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic disease, biliary disease, nutritional disorders, and liver disease.
Our endoscopy center is a state-of-the-art facility staffed with dedicated professional nurses and endoscopic technologists. We utilize the most up-to-date techniques to screen for colon cancer, assess acid reflux, screen for Barrett's esophagus, evaluate anemia, dysphagia and abdominal pain, detect gastrointestinal motility disorders, and endoscopically manage pancreaticobiliary disorders. We expertly employ the latest endoscopic equipment, including capsule endoscopy, cryotherapy, and SpyglassTM technology to name a few.
Adjacent to the Tulane Gastroenterology clinic is the Tulane Abdominal Transplant Institute clinic. In the transplant clinic, patients with liver disease are managed and evaluated for optimal therapy, including liver transplant when applicable. The abdominal transplant clinic is also the site of many ongoing clinical trials for new medications to treat liver diseases of all types.
