Office of Multicultural Affairs ~ Faculty Spotlight

“As a new member of Tulane faculty, I was welcomed into a warm environment that cultivates and encourages scholastic achievement. Medical student, residents, fellows, and faculty are energetic about education and providing excellent patient care, especially to the underserved community of New Orleans. Tulane is a progressive institution in that it is open to change to further diversify the environment and expand its outreach.” --Dr. Rebecca Burke

Having joined the Section of General Internal Medicine in 2017. Dr. Burke works as a consulting physician at both University Medical Center and the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System. She is responsible for helping develop the Supportive/Palliative consulting service and outpatient Palliative Care Clinic at University Medical Center; she also is the Lead Ambulatory Physician at the outpatient Palliative Medicine clinic at UMC.
