Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences ~ Dr. Scheeringa's Lab: Louisiana Child Welfare Trauma Project

The LCTP is one of nine demonstration projects across the country awarded under the “Initiative to Improve Access to Needs-Driven, Evidence-Based/Evidence-Informed Mental and Behavioral Health Services in Child Welfare” that is sponsored by the Children’s Bureau, Administration of Children & Families.*  The five-year $1,970,000 (direct costs) project is being implemented in a quasi-randomized design in a rolling implementation through all nine state regions.  The LCTP is a partnership of Tulane University and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

The LCTP was completed in 2017.
