Pancreatic cysts are a collection of fluid in or around the pancreas.

Symptoms

  • Abdominal pain
  • Bloating
  • Difficulty eating and digesting food
  • Infection
  • Complications related to the cyst that result in a pancreatic abscess or blockage of the intestine
  • Infection
Diagnosis

  • Abdominal CT
  • Abdominal MRI
  • Abdominal Ultrasound
  • Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography (MRCP)
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
Treatment

  • Treatment methods depend upon the size and location of the cyst and whether it is causing symptoms.
