Biography
Dr. Durante has been a member of Tulane's Department of Family and Community Medicine for 25 years. He serves as the medical director for various area centers and hospices and directs the department's Hospice Elective. In addition to end of life care, Dr. Durante's medical interests include palliative, occupational, and correctional medicines. He earned degrees from University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown -- where he received his MD, and Johns Hopkins -- where he received his MPH, was a resident in the Navy and with the Maryland State Health Department, and is actively licensed in Medicine and Surgery. A music lover, Dr. Durante has a weekly, Thursday radio show, from 4-6pm, on WTUL 91.5.
