Biography

As a Westbank native, Dr. Pablo Labadie is not only an accomplished doctor but also a noted athlete, a decorated Marine, and a huge New Orleans Saints fan!

As a student at Tulane University, Dr. Labadie was a 4-year varsity letter winner in cross country and track, specializing in the 10,000-meter run. After graduating in 1987 with a degree in biology, Dr. Labadie attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he received his MD in 1991.

Following graduation, Dr. Labadie entered the United States Marine Corps, serving three years as a battalion surgeon and reaching the rank of lieutenant commander. Deployments took Dr. Labadie to the Persian Gulf and Africa with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. During his military career, Dr. Labadie was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal for Operation Support Hope, a United Nations mission providing relief to the Rwanda cholera epidemic. He also received the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Southwest Expeditionary Medal, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Citation.

In 1995, Dr. Labadie returned to New Orleans to complete his urology residency. Since completing his training, he has been on staff at West Jefferson Medical Center and at Tulane Medical School, where he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology. While Dr. Labadie treats many issues and illnesses, he specializes in treating voiding dysfunction, pelvic floor dysfunction, and urinary incontinence.

Dr. Labadie is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is active in local medical leadership, having served as Chief of Surgery at West Jefferson Medical Center and President of the Jefferson Parish Medical Society. He is married with three children.
