ALAAMEA

The purpose of ALAAMEA is to provide a place for Tulane faculty and staff from historically marginalized communities (e.g., Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian/Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, Mixed Race, LGBTQ+, people living with disabilities, people raised in working class and other marginalized class backgrounds, age) to connect and thrive together, fostering our own resilience and resistance to interlocking oppressions. 

Tulane University Women's Association

TUWA is an organization dedicated to providing networking and activities for those new to campus and a forum for those interested in supporting the development and growth of women on campus. Founded in 1910, TUWA has grown to include members in all aspects of the campus community and now creates and provides fora for lectures, book clubs, artistic pursuits, exhibits, tours, activity groups, informative classes and conferences, and social events.

Staff Advisory Council

As the only staff assembly recognized by the administration, the Staff Advisory Council's mission is to review matters related to all staff members and to act as an advocate, serving as the voice for all staff by formulating recommendations to the University’s administration.  The SAC’s foremost commitment is to unite the Tulane Community in the creation of an ideal workplace while enhancing the stature of Tulane University.  The SAC facilitates communication, builds community, increases recognition opportunities, and promotes personal and professional growth for staff.

University Senate

The University Senate is Tulane's senior internal governance body. It consists of elected faculty representatives from the academic divisions, senior administrators, student and staff representatives, and at-large members elected from a slate nominated by the Senate Committee on Committees. The Senate is chaired by the President of the University. Its purview consists of all matters of general University concern, especially those which affect at least two academic divisions.
