Biography

Dr. Manny Guajardo joined the faculty in 2022. His career goals are to become a clinician-educator who works to improve the lives of people with HIV, to make an impact on the HIV epidemic while teaching the next generation of physicians. He sees patients at the New Orleans VA on the consult service and in the ID clinic. As the HIV Lead, he oversees the medical care of veterans living with HIV and implements interventions to improve clinical processes and outcomes. He also teaches the HIV curriculum for the ID fellows.

Dr. Guajardo's personal interests include live music, trying new restaurants, traveling, and listening to podcasts.
