New Faculty Hire: Patricia O'Brien, MD

Tulane School of Medicine and John W. Deming Department of Medicine welcomes:

Patricia O’Brien, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Palliative Medicine

Dr. Patricia O’Brien joined the Section of General Internal Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in 2024. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dr. O'Brien earned her MD from Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland before moving to New Orleans for Internal Medicine residency at Tulane University School of Medicine. She is a faculty preceptor in Internal Medicine and Medicine/Pediatrics residency continuity clinics and is in practice as an academic hospitalist. She is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Her interests include social determinants of health, comprehensive preventive care, women’s health and wellness.
