Welcome to the Tulane Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship!
We are the first HPM program accredited in the state of Louisiana, and we bring together a diverse group of palliative medicine faculty from University of Alabama, MD Anderson, University of Pittsburgh, Harvard University and University of California, San Francisco. We provide inpatient and outpatient palliative services at University Medical Center, a safety-net hospital and Level 1 trauma center in downtown New Orleans, and the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care system across the street. We also partner with Heart of Hospice to provide the full range of required experiences for HPM fellows. Our program is unique in combining a classical, ACGME-approved palliative curriculum with integrative and alternative medicine, narrative medicine, addiction medicine, resilience training, prison advocacy, and international palliative rotations in partnership with Harvard and UCSF. We are situated in one of the most unique cities in the world and invite you to come experience our local cuisine, rich musical heritage, and vibrant art scene. Venez visiter la Nouvelle-Orléans!
I am eager to discuss our exceptional team and progressive, innovative curriculum with all interested applicants.
