Tulane Simulation
The Tulane Center for Advanced Medical Simulation and Team Training gives medical students, residents, practicing physicians, nurses, technicians, first responders, and other healthcare providers the opportunity to learn and perfect the latest techniques and best practices for patient care and safety.
An integral benefit of Tulane Simulation’s effectiveness is the ability to take training beyond individual procedures to incorporate team training, communication, and multidisciplinary training. The real-life environment allows healthcare providers to move as a team through initial assessment in an Emergency Room, to procedures in the Operating Room or Labor & Delivery, and end with care in the Intensive Care Unit or other hospital unit.

Our simulators and task trainers feature various levels of patient fidelity and are selected to best match the learning objectives. We cover hundreds of procedures and are adding more all the time to keep up with the needs of our learners.

Tulane Simulation offers a multidisciplinary approach to medical education, assessment, and research that includes basic clinical skills training, procedural training, team training, integrated standardized patients, surgical and non-surgical case simulations, emergency and trauma care training, and life support training. The Center also has certified Master Trainers for TeamSTEPPS™ training. The Tulane Center for Advanced Medical Simulation and Team Training sets a new national standard for the education, training, and certification of healthcare professionals.
Level up your life support skills and explore Tulane Simulation’s American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification courses. Options include traditional classroom courses and hybrid HeartCode formats that blend online convenience with an in-person skills check.
Tulane offers ATLS Provider, Refresher, and Instructor courses that are taught using an educational format that is conducive to training providers in the concepts, skills, and techniques required in initial patient resuscitation. The course includes multiple modalities, including core lectures, interactive skills demonstrations, small group discussions, simulation techniques, and practice skills assessments.
