The Tulane Simulation Center (Sim) is an official Training Center for American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care training.  The Sim Center holds BLS, ACLS and PALS Provider and Instructor courses on-site and also serves as the principal resource for information, support, and quality control for more than 400 aligned instructors and 9 affiliated training sites.

The Sim Center offers traditional classroom courses and online learning options. HeartCode is available for both BLS and ACLS for first time students and renewals. HeartCode is the newest training option from the American Heart Association and gives you your valuable time back! With HeartCode training, you complete the classroom portion online on your own time. After successful completion of the online tests, you will be able to schedule your skills checkoff on a computerized manikin at the Simulation Center. HeartCode gives you the option to schedule your AHA training at your convenience!

Sim Center Staff

Sharnell Jones is the Training Center Coordinator.  As TC Coordinator, she is the primary contact for the AHA and oversees the operations of the TC.  She works with instructors and training site coordinators to ensure that all courses adhere to AHA guidelines.
