Mission

Our faculty are engaged in groundbreaking initiatives designed to transform health through innovation, lifelong learning, and patient-centered health care. Through discovery and application of the best science, our faculty work tirelessly to advance the mission of the medical school, deliver the highest quality patient care, improve human health, foster healthy communities, while educating and preparing the next generation of distinguished clinical and scientific leaders.

Tulane School of Medicine’s Office of Faculty Affairs works closely with university leadership and faculty members to advance, promote, and support their work through initiatives specifically developed and run by this office. Some of our key areas of responsibility and oversight include faculty appointments, promotions, and academic career development. In collaboration with colleagues, the staff of the Office of Faculty Affairs strive to ensure the continued excellence of Tulane School of Medicine’s faculty by enhancing faculty development initiatives, increasing faculty diversity, and building a strong, inclusive, and collaborative faculty community. Our faculty and staff have worked and continue to build a supportive and inclusive community.
