Dr. Nicole Wright and research scientist Rafeka Hossain have published a paper titled “The relationship between cardiometabolic disease and vertebral bone strength, mineral density, and mass in US adults” in the Journal of the Endocrine Society. Allie Williams Selected for RISE Leadership Program - August 4, 2026
We are pleased to share that CHOICES Program Manager Allie Williams has been accepted into the RISE Leadership cohort for the Fall of 2026, put on by the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Allie will have the opportunity to learn the fundamental concepts of leadership, interpersonal effectiveness, trust-building, and community of practice. We are extremely proud of Allie’s accomplishment, and we cannot wait to see the skills she will use to benefit our CHOICES team.
Dr. Erin Peacock Receives Mentor of the Year Award - February 2026
Dr. Erin Peacock, Assistant Professor in CHOICES, received the prestigious award for Outstanding Student Mentor from the Southern Society for Clinical Investigation (SSCI).
