Dermatology Medical Student Rotations

Two and four week rotations in Dermatology are available for eligible third (Tulane only) and fourth year (Tulane & visiting) medical students in good standing. Rotations are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. All rotations July through December will be four weeks in duration. Two week rotations are offered from January through June.

Students will rotate through the resident clinics.  During the rotation, students see patients daily in the various clinics, participate in Friday didactics, as well as all Faculty lectures. Students must do a short presentation on a clinical disease or problem of their choosing at the end of their rotation. To schedule a rotation, please contact the Dermatology Program Coordinator, Elizabeth DuQuesne, via email at duquesne@tulane.edu. Tulane students must have prior approval from the Dermatology Department, before scheduling a rotation with Student Affairs.  Visiting students are to apply via VSAS, and do not need prior approval to apply.

Tulane students interested in research may arrange, upon approval of Student Affairs and the Dermatology Faculty & Program Coordinator, a research month.

Students interested in Dermatopathology may schedule a two-week rotation with the Dermatopathology Department by contacting the Pathology Program Coordinator, Bea Delucca, via email at bdelucc@tulane.edu.
