The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tulane University School of Medicine maintains missions of education, patient care, and research.
Our commitment to training young physicians in obstetrics and gynecology includes providing them with the very best instruction in the technical aspects of the specialty and the unique aspects of women's healthcare. Our research endeavors continue to provide cutting-edge knowledge in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the subspecialty areas of high-risk pregnancy, female cancer, infertility, and urogynecology.
We take pride in providing first-rate treatment for New Orleans and surrounding communities, guiding women through normal and high-risk pregnancies as well as addressing women's health concerns, including:
- adolescent gynecology
- comprehensive infertility services
- genetic counseling
- gynecologic management for women with breast cancer
- gynecologic urology
- management of women with BRCA gene mutations
- oncology (cancer)
- pelvic pain
- premenstrual syndrome
- prenatal diagnostics
- reproductive gynecology, including menopause

In addition to our clinical duties, we focus on educating our obstetrics and gynecology residents and medical students and conducting research.
