As part of Tulane University School of Medicine, we prepare future leaders in pediatric medicine by offering one of the most diverse training experiences in country.  Residents and students are exposed to a variety of primary and tertiary health care systems from community clinics, to primary care regional hospitals, private hospitals and the Children's Hospital Health System. Our combined residency program with Ochsner Health System and our award winning student clerkship program provide hands-on learning to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge they'll need as future advocates of children's health.

In addition to providing outstanding clinical care and education, the Department of Pediatrics at Tulane is endowed with superb clinician-scientists who conduct cutting edge research in multiple areas such as nephrology, human genetics, cancer, infectious disease, critical care, cystic fibrosis, asthma and growth and development.  The faculty are often cited and contribute to pediatric medical publications and participate at national and regional conferences as experts in the related fields.
