Our Pediatric Residency Program offers rigorous, hands-on training grounded in evidence-based medicine, collaborative care, and academic inquiry. The Tulane Medicine–Pediatrics Residency Program provides comprehensive training across internal medicine and pediatrics in a dynamic, real-world clinical environment. Residents care for patients across the full lifespan while rotating through multiple healthcare systems and diverse patient populations. The program emphasizes adaptability, clinical excellence, and community-engaged, evidence-based care—preparing graduates to navigate complex systems, address health disparities, and lead with confidence. Training in New Orleans offers a distinctive opportunity to learn from a resilient community while developing the skills needed to thrive in challenging and resource-limited settings.

Triple Board Residency

The Tulane Triple Board Residency Program offers integrated training in Pediatrics, General Psychiatry, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, preparing residents to deliver comprehensive physical and mental health care to children and families. In five years, residents become board-eligible in all three specialties and gain the flexibility to pursue diverse, interdisciplinary career paths. Training takes place across a wide range of clinical settings and emphasizes close collaboration among specialties, longitudinal patient care, and mentorship from nationally recognized faculty. Set in New Orleans, the program provides a rich academic and community-based environment for physicians interested in crossing traditional disciplinary boundaries to care for the whole child.

Resident Initiative in Global Health Training (RIGHT)

The Resident Initiative in Global Health Training (RIGHT) Program is a three-year, longitudinal opportunity for Tulane residents interested in global health careers. Designed to complement an existing residency, the program provides structured education, mentorship, and scholarly engagement focused on international and local underserved settings. Residents participate in seminars, online coursework, and a mentored scholarly project, with opportunities for international experience when available. Graduates of the program are eligible for a global health certification, gaining practical skills and academic grounding to support careers in equitable, evidence-based care at home and abroad.
