Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition

The Department of Pediatrics’ Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive, high-quality care to children throughout the Gulf Coast.

We believe in a team approach to managing your child’s healthcare. In addition to your physician and pediatrician, parents will often have a role in treatment plans. We are also available to answer questions, discuss any concerns and provide follow-up information about your child’s continued care.

Our education mission supports medical students and residency training through lectures, clinical experience, and gastroenterology electives.  The section is actively engaged in clinical research and trials.  Our faculty has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, several books and participates in national and international conferences.
