Critical Care

 

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is located at Manning Family Children's. The Section of Pediatric Critical Care is a truly tertiary, multidisciplinary unit that provides care for infants, children and adolescents who become critically ill or injured.

Under the leadership of Dr. Ira Shukla program strengths include management of solid organ transplants concurrently with the transplant surgeons, Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Neurology and Neurosurgery, Hematology/Oncology, and Pediatric Gastroenterology; capability to provide ECMO for both respiratory and cardiac failure and a full complement of renal replacement therapies with the assistance of the Nephrology service.Read More
