Vascular Neurology - Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

The members of the Tulane Vascular Neurology Fellowship program believe in the importance of having a trainee and physician workforce that reflects the diverse patient population that we serve. We are committed to maintaining an equitable, diverse, and inclusive learning and working environment. We are focused on recruiting and training fellows, faculty, and staff from diverse ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, racial, and religious backgrounds.

Our approach to diversity and inclusion is simple – it is about accepting, embracing, and empowering everyone. We believe that when people feel respected and included, they can be more innovative and successful. We commit to providing an environment that is intolerant of discrimination against any individual based on age, disability, ethnicity, gender, national origin, race, political and religious beliefs, and sexual orientation. It is our mission to ensure that all fellows feel supported and that all fellows are provided with equal opportunities for professional growth throughout their training.

We will work with the Neurosciences Department to continue to ensure the neurology faculty, researchers, trainees and staff reflect the diverse patient population that we serve. Our department is committed to advancing our diversity, equity and inclusion through initiatives that promote transparency and accountability.
