Located in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana, fellows are exposed to a wide variety of medical problems and patient diversity. Our training sites include Tulane University, University Medical Center, and Southeast Louisiana Veterans’ Health Care system, and is a regional draw for patients within the gulf coast region. Our fellows receive extensive experience in both benign hematology as well as medical oncology with a wide array of clinical offerings and faculty expertise. Tulane offers strong exposure to hematologic malignancies, with a bone marrow transplant unit performing autologous and allogeneic transplants. Tulane is also home to the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders and provides comprehensive care to patients with hemophilia and coagulation disorders. The Tulane Cancer Center offers the opportunity for patients to receive multidisciplinary care and participate in cutting edge cancer clinical trials. Our fellows are involved in clinical and translational research, contributing to the medical literature as well as presenting at national and regional conferences. We are proud of our graduates and our commitment to the high standards that mark the training at Tulane University, with emphasis on patient care, professionalism, research, and scholarship. Graduates of our program have chosen to pursue their careers in both academic centers as well as successful private practices, and have have obtained positions throughout the country. Many of our graduates have chosen to continue their careers with Tulane or in the New Orleans area.

Tulane works closely with other medical facilities such as the Medical Center of Louisiana and the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System to provide a broad range of experiences in providing health care. Graduates of our program have chosen to pursue their careers in both academic centers as well as successful private practices.
Graduates have obtained positions throughout the country, although many have chosen to continue their careers with Tulane or in the New Orleans area.
