Office of Human Resources and Institutional Equity Education and Training Programs
The Institutional Equity team provides educational programs available to staff and faculty, as part of Tulane’s commitment to fostering and maintaining a diverse working and learning environment. Courses offered are designed to raise awareness, challenge our thinking and promote a respectful and inclusive environment.
EDI Faculty and Staff Professional Development Program
The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Faculty/Staff Professional Development Program (EDI-PDP) engages Tulane faculty and staff in building capacity to contribute to and sustain EDI across Tulane campuses. There is no cost to enroll. Faculty and staff may take courses in pursuit of earning a professional development badge or may take individual courses based on needs and interests.
Anti-Racism Leadership Program
The Office of Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion, working in collaboration with the Tulane University Leadership Institute (TULI), offers the Anti-Racism Leadership Program (ARLP), which provides leaders from across the university the opportunity to develop the skills and understanding necessary to contribute to institutional anti-racism initiatives at all levels of the University. Offered to Tulane University employees at all levels, the ARLP is a strategic and professional growth opportunity for high performing Tulane University employees that are interested in learning about the foundations of anti-racism work, engaging in discussion around anti-racism topics and initiatives, and sharpening their leadership skills to practice effective anti-racism leadership.
Conflict Resolution Program
The goal of this program is to build a workplace environment that is enriched by our differences. The program is designed to encourage our community to take a positive, proactive approach to resolving conflicts and disputes in the workplace. This program will create opportunities for staff, faculty, and students to have difficult conversations in a manner that allows each individual to be heard and to be better understood while building a common foundation for moving forward with a healthy, civil working relationship.
Tulane University's Alternative Resolution Program (TARP)
Immerse yourself in transformative learning opportunities run by the renowned professionals at the Center for Restorative Approaches (CRA). Our highly trained facilitators are dedicated to equipping you with the knowledge and skills to build a strong community, foster inclusivity, and facilitate collaborative decision-making. These sessions can take place in the classroom, about community engagement projects, during student organization meetings, in the residence halls and at other campus programs. You can schedule a team of Community Engagement Advocates to attend your class or program for a 40-minute to 2-hour workshop.
