Fellowship Program

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers 3 Fellowship Training Programs: Cytopathology, Dermatopathology and Hematopathology

Application

Fellowship applications are still paper applications.   Please review the Internet addresses concerning Tulane requirements. We are a fully accredited program.

Listed below are the requirements needed by all applicants for entry into our fellowship programs.

Please submit the following information.

  • We support only J1-Visa
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • CV
  • if you are Board Certified (send copy of certification) or if you are scheduled to take the Boards (give date)
  •  if you currently have a license in the state that you are living in (send copy)
  • copies of USMLE Step I, II, and III.
Interviews

Interviews are conducted from November through January.

If you are selected for an interview you must have a valid Visa and a Social Security Card or copy on day of interview. 

Positions may be filled with a suitable candidate prior to the deadline.  You will be required to procure a Louisiana State Medical license.   Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME) at www.lsmbe.org   now requires applicants to be fingerprinted when applying for medical license (Contact Elaine Barberot, 630 Camp Street, New Orleans, LA 70130, phone: (504) 524-6763 ext. 300, e-mail: ebarbe@lsumc.edu ,).  

Tulane does not provide any monetary support for interview visits.
