How long is the program?
The program is two years, beginning in January of each year and ending in December.
How many students are accepted?
There is a maximum of 12 students per class
How do I obtain surgical pathology exposure?
Shadowing hours with a Pathologists’ Assistant are encouraged. Any paid employment, shadowing, or an internship in the anatomic pathology lab would be helpful.
Is there a minimum number of shadowing/experience hours needed?
No, applications will be considered on an individual basis. Hours and experience may vary.
Do you give preference to Louisiana residents?
No, Tulane is a private university. We make no distinction by state of residency in the admissions process and the tuition rates are the same regardless of state of residency.
