Please contact Dr. Valerie Wajda-Johnston, Training director, with questions about fellowships available for the upcoming year.
Following the completion of the clinical psychology internship, contingent upon funding, a one-year postdoctoral fellowship may be available to qualified applicants. Fellowships have been available in the Infant Mental Health and Forensic concentrations annually for the past several years. We have had fellows in other child and adult settings, including at Tulane Hospital and Medical Center and in community-based programs in which Tulane faculty work.
The postdoctoral fellow receives more advanced training than that obtained during the internship year. The training is individualized to meet the needs and interests of the fellow and generally has included teaching and consultation opportunities as well as clinical service delivery. The fellow assists faculty members with instruction and supervision of graduate students and psychology interns. Weekly supervision towards fulfilling the requirements for licensure as a psychologist is provided by a full-time Tulane clinical psychology faculty member.
For the upcoming training year, we are recruiting for the following postdoctoral fellowship positions:
Infant Mental Health Clinical Postdoctoral Fellow
Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Psychology (TIKES) - Postdoctoral Fellowship
Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow - Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic (EPIC-NOLA)
Forensic Psychology (ELMHS) - Postdoctoral Fellowship
