The Tulane Psychology Division is a section of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and works in conjunction with the Department of Pediatrics.
Our faculty and staff trained at many outstanding programs in the country, including Tulane. United in values and committed to excellence, we bring diverse perspectives on circumstances that are impacting children and adolescents and their families, in addition to the general adult population. Our faculty and staff have backgrounds in other fields, including Pediatrics, Nursing, Clinical, Developmental and Cultural Psychology, Public Health, Forensics and Social Work. These disciplines enrich the perspective and broaden and deepen the understanding of children and their families.
The Psychology Division offers an internship program training in General Clinical Psychology with additional concentration in specific areas of clinical psychology, wherein interns receive training in evaluation and diagnosis; interventions, including empirically supported treatment models; consultation, and supervision, all with a focus on delivering ethical services that are responsive to individual and cultural diversity. The Clinical Psychology Internship Program offers two tracks: Adult Psychology and Child Psychology. In the Adult Track, the major area of study is Forensic Psychology.
