Med/Psych is a five-year residency program in which residents complete half of their time (30 months) on Psychiatry and half (30 months) on Internal Medicine. On average, residents will spend six months in one field then rotate to the other field for six months, with a few exceptions. Residents will complete 12 months of consecutive psychotherapy during either their third or fourth year. The below is a sample five-year schedule.

Internal Medicine Core Curriculum:Core rotations covered during the elective time during residency include Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Oncology and Pulmonary Disease. Anesthesia, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Bone Marrow Transplant, Neurocritical care, and Hepatology electives are also available. |

*The medicine residency program has a "4+1" schedule which entails 4 weeks of wards or electives followed by 1 week of clinic. This allows residents to be fully devoted to their inpatient activities when they are on wards and fully devoted to outpatient activities during their clinic weeks. |
