Mary-Kate Merchant Breaux, LMSW

Mary-Kate is a Licensed Master Social Worker born and raised in Lafayette, LA. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and graduated from Louisiana State University with her master's in social work. Mary-Kate has clinical experience working with those diagnosed with acute and chronic mental illness in different behavioral health settings. She has also had the opportunity to support and mentor individuals of all ages with diverse cultural backgrounds and varying abilities.

Mary-Kate is passionate about supporting children and caregivers by emphasizing the significance of early childhood interventions and connecting them to resources and services within the community. During her practice, she aims to offer an unbiased clinical perspective and enjoys partnering with families and childcare providers to create age-appropriate strategies that promote inclusivity, social-emotional development, social skills, and confidence.

Mary-Kate values her work relationships and appreciates learning from each person and experience. Most importantly, she strives to create supportive environments where every individual feels valued, seen, respected, and heard.

During her free time, you can find Mary-Kate spending time with her family and friends, coordinating weddings, traveling, listening to podcasts, attending concerts, or watching reality TV.
