For All Medical School Classes: Students in Action for EDI

ornate ironwork on the Hutchinson buildingThe past few years have led to an exponential increase in the efforts to achieve Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion within medical education. This includes not only enhancing diversity within medical school classes themselves but also facilitating EDI within faculty and administrative ranks. At Tulane University School of Medicine, students from all backgrounds have worked closely with faculty and staff to provide their insights needed to encourage and enrich meaningful communication among our student body and promote curricular and institutional reform. Bennetta Horne, PhD, Assistant Dean for EDI and Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, has been instrumental in her oversight these activities and serves as a valuable resource to all students as these initiatives continue to expand and evolve within the School of Medicine.
