Cell Analysis Core Facility

Hours of Operation
The CACF is currently open Monday thru Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, but appointments are scheduled from 10-12 and 1-5 PM.

Scheduled Appointment Policy

  • Please try to be on time. If you are going to be late for your scheduled appointment contact the facility. Any appointments that are 15 minutes late will begin to be charged for the remainder of the appointment.
  • If you do not contact the facility and are late for your appointment, you will be charged from the beginning of the booked time.
  • If you are late for a scheduled time, please note that your analysis or sort appointment will be strictly enforced to accommodate those signed up after you.
  • If you fail to show up for a scheduled appointment, you will be billed for the full time.


Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel, try to do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any charges for time. You can cancel by email or by phone (please leave a message if unanswered).
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time, you will still be billed for 1 hour of setup time.

Please notify Core personnel immediately if any information changes before your scheduled appointment.
 

First-Time User
Please contact Maria Morales prior to scheduling so that you can be assured that the facility is prepared to meet your needs and to expedite any special requests. Explain what you hope to achieve and we will help you to decide what instrumentation would most suit your needs. A brief consultation on experimental design to discuss controls needed and an introduction to sample preparation is required.

As a reminder, all users of the CACF are asked to acknowledge the Core in their papers and presentations. We would like the Core to be acknowledged as “The Louisiana Cancer Research Center FACS Core.”   Please also send a copy of the paper or the PMID to Maria Morales, technical director, at mmorale@tulane.edu.
