Register/Submit an Abstract

This annual retreat brings together scientists, clinicians, trainees, and community partners from across the region to share emerging discoveries, strengthen collaboration, and advance our collective efforts in the fight against cancer.

This year’s symposium will highlight the power of collaboration across LCRC partner institutions, organized around four cross‑cutting research themes:

  • Obesity and Metabolism
  • Environmental Exposure (including viruses and lifestyle factors, such as tobacco and alcohol)
  • Developmental Therapeutics and Drug Discovery
  • New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) Aimed at Replacing Traditional Animal Models

As part of the registration process, participants will be asked to select two themes to join for round‑table discussions.

Call for Abstracts

The LCRC invites faculty, clinicians, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, and community‑engaged research teams to submit abstracts for presentation at the symposium. Submissions may include completed studies, works in progress, or emerging findings.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Include title, authors, affiliations, presenting author, and grant support (if applicable)
  • Maximum length: one page, Arial 11pt font
  • Abbreviations should be defined at first mention.
  • Figures and tables are not permitted.
  • All abstracts will undergo review by the scientific committee.
