Be a part of the fight against breast cancer while enjoying a feast for the senses!

Join Krewe de Pink for an unforgettable evening as they host their Fifth Annual Death by Chocolate…NOT Breast Cancer fundraiser, honoring six local "Sweet Survivors" and benefiting Tulane Cancer Center's Breast Cancer Research Fund.

At this 21 and older event, guests will indulge in scrumptious chocolate bites* — both sweet and savory — crafted with chocolate generously donated by Callebaut Chocolate, and bubbly** graciously provided by Josh Wine Cellars, while enjoying the sophisticated sounds of local jazz.
 

To add to the fun, there is a competition for the best chocolate creation. Each chocolate-inspired dish will be judged by guests as well as a panel of celebrity judges, with 1st- and 2nd-Place honors awarded in both the People’s Choice and Judges' Choice categories.
 

Guests will also enjoy raffles for a variety of high-end prizes, including a stunning diamond jewelry piece donated by Diamonds Direct, a staycation from Hyatt Centric, a Champagne Basket, and a case of champagne. A fabulous photo station will also be available to capture every special moment.
 

VIP ticket holders — who will receive special takeaways — will enjoy exclusive early access to the event at 5:30 pm, providing an opportunity to mingle with the local chefs and the 2024 Sweet Survivors. The general admission entry time is 6:30 pm.
 

Those who attend are in for a unique and memorable experience, full of wonderful sights, scents, sounds and tastes! The event will be held at the historic Schoen Mansion. The exquisite features of this New Orleans landmark include its unique architecture, fine furnishings, spectacular chandeliers, opulent fireplace mantels, and stunning gardens, all of which combine to provide an elegant setting for this exciting and decadent event.

Guests will enjoy a sumptuous dinner and fabulous auction while grooving with a purpose to the energetic and exceptional beats of The Top Cats, whose performance is being generously underwritten by Keith and Patricia Collura.

 

Cancer Crusaders is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization dedicated to supporting cancer research in the Greater New Orleans area. Proceeds from the Summer Gala and several other events and initiatives held throughout the year are distributed annually to Tulane Cancer Center and LSU's Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center to support each institution's cancer research efforts. The organization has raised over $5 million since its founding in 1976.

 

"The Cancer Crusaders' ongoing commitment to raising funds for our research programs has been nothing short of remarkable," said Stefan Grant, MD, JD, MBA, Tulane Cancer Center Director. "Over the years, their contributions have enabled us to make significant strides in understanding the complexities of cancer and developing innovative treatments. It is because of partners like the Cancer Crusaders that we can push the boundaries of scientific research and bring hope to countless individuals and families affected by this disease."

 

Individual tickets for Seersucker & Sass cost $130 each or $150 for patron tickets with program acknowledgement.
