The Cancer Crusaders of Louisiana Golf Tournament is a premier event for a worthy cause. Proceeds are split equally between the cancer research programs at Tulane Cancer Center and LSU's Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center.
The golf tournament was started 17 years ago by Mark Mitchell, a cancer survivor. His battle brought him to various centers out of town, and this event was his way to raise money to provide more options to Louisiana residents for local cancer treatment.
Sponsor participation from many local restaurants and beverage vendors is what sets the Cancer Crusaders of Louisiana Golf Tournament apart. Couple that with immaculate golf conditions, an amazing complimentary breakfast and lunch, generous gift bags, raffles, and a wide array of other prizes and it's a premier event.
Entertainment goes beyond just the tournament. Golfers can participate in several on-course contests, including the “Hole in One," which can snag a lucky winner one of five premiere prizes, including a brand new car, a trip to the 2024 Ryder Cup and more. Other contests include a putting contest and closest-to-the-hole, both of which offer guaranteed prizes. Pink Bra Run/Walk and Ride

Walk/Run Start - 8 AM
The Pink Bra Run is more than a 5K race. It's a Saturday morning festival in beautiful Old Gretna, benefiting Tulane Cancer Center's Breast Cancer Research Program.
The 5K walk/run and bike ride take place atop the Mississippi River levee, where participants enjoy some of the most picturesque views of the New Orleans skyline in the area followed by a post-race festival including beer and refreshments, awards, music and the always raucous Best-Decorated Bra Contest!
Mark your calendars, grab your running / riding gear, or show up in costume! Pink bras are highly recommended – the more bedazzled, the better!
