INTERVIEW PROCESS

Interviews will be conducted both in person and virtually. Invited applicants will be contacted to schedule interviews.

Virtual Interview Date / Time:

Saturday, November 23, 2024 / 8:00 am (CST)

In-person Interview Date / Time:

Saturday, December 14, 2024 / 8:00 am (CST)

This interview process is designed around a one-on-one interaction, in most instances, with each faculty member. This interview process provides a subjective and objective evaluation of the applicant. Also, the applicant is given every opportunity to investigate the status of the department. Well over 300 completed applications are received each year. Of those, approximately 35 resident applicants are interviewed annually. At the end of each interview day, applicants are assigned scores by faculty using a standardized evaluation form. These applicants are then placed on a numerical ranking list. Once all interviews have been completed, our rank list is sent to the American Urological Association for Match Day. Emphasis is placed on resident applicants who have shown evidence of interest in urology in the form of research, electives, presentations, publications, or AOA status, etc.

INVITED APPLICANTS

Applicants invited to interview at Tulane University for the Residency Match will be contacted with instructions on how to schedule a virtual interview. Interview offers will be sent on October 25, 2024.
