Pathology Student Accomplishments
Ailar Arasteh, Medical Research Technician in the Research Laboratory of Dr. Xiao-Ming Yin, has been accepted to the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Jenna Copes, who also works in Dr. Yin’s Lab, has been accepted to Tulane University School of Medicine. Both Ms. Arasteh and Ms. Copes will begin their studies in 2026.
Ramsey Rohner, a second-year student conducting thesis research under Dr. Bilon Khambu, Assistant Professor of Pathology, was recently accepted into the Class of 2030 at Tulane University School of Medicine. Ramsey additionally received the 2025 Young Investigator Outstanding Research Honorable Mention Award at the Pathobiology for Investigators, Students and Academicians (PISA) meeting. The title of his presentation is, Role of DEK as a Cell Death Switch Molecule in Liver Fibrosis.
