Sarah Lindsey, PhD, who holds the Dr. Barbara S. Beckman Professorship in Pharmacology, was recently named the Chamber of Discovery honoree at the American Heart Ball in New Orleans. The annual event raises money and awareness for the American Heart Association, and the chamber designations highlight work in the AHA's four impact areas: Discovery, Knowledge, Advocacy, and Access.
