You asked for a streamlined system for accessing research opportunities
In March 2024, the Student Research Network was launched to improve access to research opportunities, offering a searchable database where students can find and apply for projects that match their interests.
You asked for increased funding to support conference travel
Supplemental funds available to support student conference travel were increased from $350 to $500.
*Note that all initial requests for travel funds should be made to the department participating in, sponsoring, or supervising the research project. Should departmental funds be insufficient, students may request supplemental funds through MSG.
You asked for paid access to UWorld
In the Fall of 2024, Tulane SOM provided T1 and T2 students with paid access to UWorld. Preclinical teaching faculty were also granted access and have begun incorporating UWorld questions into Phase I and Phase II teaching sessions.
