Tulane University Health Sciences Center (TUHSC) occupies the downtown campus of Tulane University and includes the Tulane University School of Medicine, Tulane Medical Center, Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and the Tulane National Primate Research Center, located in Covington, Louisiana. Modern classrooms as well as the latest electronic facilities for instruction are employed to provide the didactic curriculum and the associated seminars.
The research laboratories of all units of the Health Sciences Center as well as those facilities for biological, behavioral, and physical sciences on the St. Charles Campus of Tulane University are state-of-the-art and provide access to highly sophisticated core resources to pursue cutting-edge research. Clinical Research Curriculum Scholars can also pursue mentored research in laboratories other than Tulane by special approval.
Distance Learning Classroom (DL Classroom) - Funded by the NIH IDeA-CTR grant to the Louisiana Clinical and Translational Science (LA CaTS) center, the DL classroom is a state of the art facility that has been designed to make the DL experience valuable for both distance learners and instructors. The classroom provides live audio links to remote students anywhere in the world. The classroom is located in A111, Mezzanine floor of the J. Bennett Johnston (JBJ) building and has a set capacity of 25.

- Ceiling mounted microphone system for recording and speaking remotely
- Ceiling mounted speaker network
- Podium with instructor’s computer

The classroom is staffed by a skilled student worker to facilitate smooth running of the sessions. The classroom sessions can be recorded with Blackboard Collaborate for editing, viewing and distributing as needed. Thus the DL classroom lends itself for synchronous or asynchronous online courses.
Tulane University Clinical Translational Unit (CTU) is the Clinical Trials component of the Clinical Research Office, supported by the LA CaTS grant.
