Welcome to the Tulane Geriatric Fellowship!
The Tulane Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program's mission is to provide exceptional geriatric care to residents of the state of Louisiana and expand the medical knowledge of fellows, residents, medical students, and agencies providing geriatric care. We bring together a diverse group of faculty from University of Alabama, University of Pittsburgh, Northwestern University and Medical University of South Carolina. They provide interdisciplinary inpatient and outpatient palliative services at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) in downtown New Orleans. We also partner with St Margaret's at Mercy to provide the full range of required experiences for geriatric fellows. Our program is unique in combining a classical, ACGME-approved geriatric curriculum with integrative medicine. We are situated in one of the most unique cities in the world, and we embrace the challenge of providing exemplary geriatric medicine training to an economically, culturally, and socially diverse population.
