Many of you have read of Tulane’s recent affiliation with LCMC, a network of non-profit hospitals in New Orleans which includes University Medical Center. Over the next year, Tulane faculty will increase their presence at University Hospital and continue to serve the neediest patients in New Orleans through exceptional patient care and research. At the same time, Tulane will also expand clinical activities at East Jefferson General Hospital enhancing our footprint in the metropolitan area. Additionally, we are embarking on an expansion of research, office and learning space, as well as other improvements in the physical environment of the downtown campus. The next few years will be a time of unprecedented growth at the School of Medicine as we continue to offer our students superb educational experiences in clinical care and research.
