Neurology Ambassadors Program

Neurology Ambassadors Program!

The Neurology Ambassadors Program offers motivated students the opportunity to take an active role in peer education while strengthening their clinical knowledge in Neurology. Designed for students who enjoy teaching and collaborative learning, the program emphasizes high-yield content and practical communication skills.

Ambassadors gain hands-on experience translating complex Neurology concepts into clear, exam-relevant teaching sessions while working closely with departmental leadership for mentorship and guidance. The program structure balances meaningful in-person engagement with flexibility to accommodate fourth-year schedules.

Beyond reinforcing core Neurology topics, participants develop confidence in public speaking, teaching, and professional presentation skills that are valuable across medical specialties.

Students with a strong interest in Neurology and medical education are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply

Interested students should submit a one-page application demonstrating their interest in Neurology and peer teaching. The application should include:

  • One clinical Neurology topic commonly tested on the Shelf exam

  • A brief patient vignette you would use to teach this topic

  • Three to five high-yield learning points relevant for NBME preparation

Applicants are not expected to prepare a full lecture. Instead, the application is designed to highlight teaching approach, clinical reasoning, and the ability to communicate key concepts clearly. Selected participants will receive additional details regarding timelines, topic selection, and expectations.

Applications must be submitted by April 15, 2026, to Dr. Michele Longo and Hunter Murray.

For questions, applicants may contact the Neurology Clerkship leadership team.
